ABOUT THE SCHOOL

PCI Health Training Center, Dallas is a small private career training school committed to meeting the educational challenges of graduating men and women who are qualified and job-ready for employment in the growing healthcare industry.

Unlike other career training schools, PCI provides training for medical careers exclusively. Through our short-term, specialized medical training courses, the school equips individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to begin functioning immediately as a medical professional in the allied health services field.

PCI Health Training offers comprehensive academic programs in four general study areas including the Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, and Medical Office Assistant. Within these four broad based training programs, a PCI Graduate may choose among a number of possible medical specialty fields thus, allowing the student flexibility in future career planning.


 

ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

 

Application for school admission may be made anytime by applying in person at the PCI Admissions Offices during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dallas School Call (214) 630-0568 for the Richardson School Call (214) 576-2600) or by scheduling an appointment with a PCI Admissions Representative. FINANCIAL AID

 

As a fully accredited institution, PCI is approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a Proprietary Institution of Higher Education and participates in the federal student assistance programs. The federal programs available include non-repayable Pell Grant awards and federal Stafford Student Loans. The Veterans Administration has approved the Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant and  programs for Veterans Training.

In addition, PCI has a number of interest-free and low-interest institutional financing and scholarship plans available. Any student may apply for one or more of these tuition assistance programs to help pay their educational expenses. Click Here for More Info


THE HISTORY & MISSION OF PCI

The PCI Health Training Center in Dallas, Texas was originally founded as the Academy for Medical and Dental Assistants in 1978 by Doctor Roy Rose to address the growing need for skilled medical professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In 1983 the Dallas campus was purchased by the Texas Education Corporation chain of private career schools and in early 1990 the school was purchased by its current owners Prince Careers, Inc. Throughout its almost 28 year existence, the school has continually upheld the proud tradition of providing skilled job-ready workers to the growing allied healthcare industry.

PCI is dedicated to providing intensive short-term training that prepares individuals with the skills necessary to begin a career immediately upon completion of their program of study. To this end, PCI employs a faculty of experienced professionals, each committed to assisting our students realize their goals of becoming contributing members of the health care industry. PCI maintains its single-campus operation to personalize the training experience for each of our students. We strive to treat each student as an aspiring professional and all staff members share in the responsibility of assisting each student reach his or her career goals. For nearly twenty years, this school has been preparing highly trained individuals for careers in allied health care.

  • Short-term Training.
    Programs can be completed in approximately 9 months. This puts the student less than a year away from being "job-ready" for their new career.
  • Hands-On Training From Week One.  Students receive laboratory training beginning with the very first week of classes. The graduate that is confident with their skills is the graduate that will get the job!
  • Training From Experienced Professionals.
    All PCI faculty members have a number of years of practical experience in allied health care. The faculty includes doctors, nurses and medical professionals with experience levels from five to twenty years in the industry.
  • Small Classes & Personalized Treatment.
    Small classes and a single-campus organization make the training more personalized. Students are afforded as much one-on-one time as necessary with their instructors to insure that each necessary skill is achieved by each student. The school's administrative offices maintain an open-door policy for any student with a question or concern about their training.
  • Flexible schedules.
    Students can choose from a variety of class schedules that will accommodate their personal or work schedule. Many PCI students are working adults seeking to upgrade their skills or find a new career. With day and evening classes, we have a schedule that can fit our students' needs.
  • Placement Assistance.
    PCI students receive guidance in resume development, conducting a job search, and mock interviews during their training, and the school will help them find a job in their career field upon graduation. For graduates in good standing, this assistance is offered on a permanent basis - our Lifetime Placement Assistance. PCI also provides information to in-school students on companies offering temporary or short-term employment to help students with their expenses.
  • Affordable Tuition Financing.
    Financial assistance is available to all students. As an accredited institution, PCI has federal financial assistance available for those who qualify. A number of loans, grants, and institutional programs are available, making the cost of education affordable for practically anyone
